Corona Times: How I am adjusting to the new normal

Well, haven’t we all been struggling with the new normal given the pandemic outside our homes that we’re supposed to stay indoors? Kids driving their parents crazy, people who are used to food-ordering-apps lifestyle have to be extremely cautious, an extrovert’s nightmare, work from home, the list is endless. I personally have discovered a lazy side to me who can binge eat, procrastinate, overthink and shelter all the negative thoughts, become an unfit version of myself by laying down like a bean bag all the time.

So I decided to make a few changes in my lifestyle for the new normal:

Bring the creativity out:

So I personally love DIY-ing (“Do it yourself” is the method of building, modifying, or repairing things without the direct aid of experts or professionals.) I recently moved to a new city and I have a couple of carton boxes lying around, I could have kept them in the store room but I realized that I need a small closet for myself for basic things like books, stationary , daily care products.

So here is how i did it:

  1. Take this!

2) Cut two opposite cardboards

3) Create a shelf and a support using the above cut cardboards inside the box.

4) Bring it to life with your own design patterns or prints.

5) Ready to use :)

You gotta stay healthy:

Well, since eating out/ordering food is a not-so-advised option right now, most of us are cooking at home. If you’re someone who doesn’t want to put so much effort into cooking but would rather want easy to make quick healthy bites, salads is the best option, works for me!

How to make one?

Cut: 1 of each (tomato, onion), and half of a cucumber

Use half of pomegranate , some spouts

Mix all of it!!!!!!!!

Garnishing: two spoon full of olive oil + half of lemon + salt. Mix all of it well and pour it over your salad. (optional but can do wonders)

You’re done! :)

Pen down!

We miss our loved ones don’t we ? And we miss hanging out with them, well someone can say we still chat and call but can’t compare it to when you have them around you physically. So, I am writing letters about my experiences these days, it’s like a diary but you share it with your friends in form of letters. And when you meet them (cause you would not want to go everyday out to post these letters) you exchange those letters, read about their highs and lows, sweet or bitter memories. It’s fun!!!!!!! Give it a try.
