*Perspective : Is it really yours?

As Homo Sapiens we can be born anywhere, that’s just a matter of destiny but it plays a crucial role in shaping us as an individual.

Everything, from the demographic to the people around us, the culture, the weather, the people we will meet in our life are going to influence, be an important factor of how we will perceive the world around us today.

How many are we ? A few billion ? Then that counts to a billion set of perspectives ? Of course some of them are universally common, for example our perception of what’s good and what’s bad , criminals are bad, priests are good, right ? Period. No, a comma I would say. So what about criminals as an individual themselves , are they some disoriented Homo Sapiens of our world or we’ve made them so? I’m not asking you to welcome them for dinner, this ain’t no Bishop’s Candlesticks and neither are all of us Bishops. Confused? Well. We are oriented to be confused by things that are beyond our understanding or do not adhere to the protocols of our perspectives. Period.

Our ‘position’ in the society is the result of a million perspectives around us, like everyone of us so willingly wanted to be Doctors or Engineers right? We were merely a ball of clay when we get detached from that umbilical cord, taking ‘baby’ steps into the world and getting handed over to the Potters of the society and there is nothing ‘magical’ about it. From one hand to the other, we become a hybrid copy of different Potters with different perspectives. Now when you mix a color with another it certainly forms a new color, right? And that is a new perspective and that is what defines us in society.

The way we get placed in the society is how we place others in the society. For example, white is supreme and black is inferior, the most cliched perspective, one might be discriminated for something peculiar about them and they in turn would practice the same unless they at some point of time in their lives met a Potter who swept off the racial perspective out of their system. The choice of letting perspective change us for good is also a perspective that ‘we’ possess. To gather perspectives is one thing but to install them in a way that they become a software to our progress is another thing. It’s our perspective about perspectives that also matters.

But how do I differentiate between these numerous perspectives ? What is good for me , what is not ? Some source can enlighten me about a perspective, but how do I validate its legitimacy ? This is where self- questioning comes into play, this is where our intuition works. It’s like the test cases one writes for their software that checks for possible bugs. One can choose to not write them but that won’t be the best practice , right? Similarly, our intuitions save us from following a path of failures.

So, I hope you consider this perspective, there is no absolute right or absolute wrong, follow your intuitions.
